Task #4 - Downloading eBooks

The Consumer Reports article that I read was, "eReaders and Education." It was very interesting, and it's main focus was how eReaders can benefit a struggling reader and literacy programs.

I am not sure that I will ever be in the market for an eReader as I love the feel of a book in my hands! I have used my daughters Kindle, and it is OK. If I were to purchase one, I would probably go with an Ipad, because it offers so much more than just the capability of downloading eBooks.

In order to download eBooks to an Ipad, you would;

(1)  Go to the App's Store icon on the Ipad and download the Overdrive Media Console application.
(2)  Then you click on the App., select Get Books, select your library, and browse their catalog.
(3)  Once you have selected the book of your choice, you simply download it directly to your Ipad.

The beauty of this device is it's multitude of uses. Also downloading eBooks to it is easy-peasy!

Task #3 - Intro to Master File

I had never used Master File before and I found that Cari's video made it pretty easy. What a great resource! The Consumer Reports was in the January 2011 issue, "Best Phones and Plans."

My extra credit answer was an article on Freddie Mercury. Queen had some great songs!

Task #2 - Scavenger Hunt

Too fun... playing games at work!  I scored a 90%, messed up that download help question, I now know it's Hoover! Learned a few other things I didn't know about our website, too! While I was cruising around, I signed up for our mailing list. I can't wait to see what the library emails me!

Task #1 - My Blog!

I lost my blog... oh the joys of technology! So it was easier to create a new and improved blog! I would love to win the Gift Certificate and go on a fun little shopping spree!
